Our Beliefs

Seeking to enhance the lives of south-central Missouri youth and their families through foundational beliefs and convictions.

Values

Gospel Driven

We continually seek to share the life-giving hope of the Gospel and point others to Christ. The Gospel is the center of who we are and is the primary motivation for the WHY behind the WHAT we do.

Community

We strive to build strategic partnerships with individuals, organizations, and churches to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. We believe building community is essential for the longevity of our ministry and those we serve.

Service

We believe that God has a tremendous heart for everyone, and it is our opportunity to elevate the lives of those around us through service.

Family

Our work is dedicated to strengthening families, resulting in lasting generational impact.

Transformational Hope

We will strive to demonstrate Christ’s love through grace and truth; give hope and encouragement to those we serve; model honesty, humility, and integrity in our interactions; and display courage through adversity.

Grace

We believe it is important to work in an environment where we have fun, don’t take ourselves too seriously, extend ourselves grace, maintain growth-minded perspectives, and celebrate our successes.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, and each possesses all of the attributes of God. God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and everything in it.

    (Genesis 1:1 | Psalm 90:2 | John 1:1-3,14)

  • We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is our Savior, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for all sin, and was raised from the grave after three days to demonstrate His defeat of sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return again to earth to reign as our powerful King.

    (John 1:1-5 | Matthew 16:16-17 | John 3:16)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Those who accept Christ as their Savior will receive the Holy Spirit to live inside them. The Holy Spirit serves as our comforter, guide, and advocate. The Holy Spirit is given to Christians and provides guidance in living, an understanding of the Bible, and prayerfully intercedes for them.

    (John 14:26 | Ephesians 1:13-14 | Galatians 5:22-25)

  • We believe our foundation is based firmly upon the Bible as our final authority on Christian beliefs and as a guide to living. The Bible is divinely inspired by God, without error, given to man so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love.

    (2 Timothy 3:16-17 | 2 Peter 1:20-21 | Psalm 119:105,160)

  • We believe salvation is not something that can be purchased or earned. It is a free gift from God provided by Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and is received through faith. It is available to everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. That faith is expressed through repentance of sin and baptism by immersion.

    (Romans 5:9 | Ephesians 2:8-9 | 1 John 1:7)

  • We believe that all people are created in the image of God; therefore, they have inherent and equal dignity and worth. We believe that people were created to build their lives and find their meaning in God. When people find their life and meaning in anything other than God, the result is sin. We believe every person has sinned, resulting in a broken relationship with God. This sin has corrupted every aspect of our human nature (physically, emotionally, and spiritually), leaving us guilty before a just and holy God and in need of a Savior to rescue us from alienation and punishment and to restore our relationship with God.

    (Romans 3:23)

  • We believe the Gospel is the good news that God himself has come to rescue and redeem all people. This was graciously accomplished through the sinless life, sacrificial death, and bodily resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ. It is through faith in Jesus Christ that we can experience forgiveness for our sins, receive righteousness, and be declared justified, opening the door for us to have a restored and renewed relationship with God, our Father. The salvation offered in this gospel message is received by grace alone, through faith alone, and in Christ alone; there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation. We believe the Gospel is the key to all doctrine and to our view of our lives in this world. We find the gospel is best summed up in the following quote by Timothy Keller, "We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time, we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope."

    (Ephesians 2:8-10 | John 3:16)

  • We believe that we are created uniquely as male and female. We believe the Bible teaches that God established marriage in the beginning as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman, that He has reserved sexual intimacy as an expression of love and commitment between married couples, and that any intimate expression of sexuality outside of Biblical marriage is sin.

    (Matthew 19:4-6 | Genesis 2:22-35 | Romans 1:18-31)

  • We believe every believer in Christ must not yield themselves to sinful passions and instead must strive to pursue righteousness (Romans 6:5-11; 2 Timothy 2:22), “so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10).

  • We believe Jesus Christ commissions His followers to make disciples of all peoples through the local church as well as through partnerships that reach the entire world.

    (Acts 13:1-2; Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:18-20; John 20:2)
